Villanesia App is a mobile application designed to expand Villanesia’s villa booking platform, which was previously only available as a desktop website. The aim was to bring the convenience of booking accommodations to mobile devices, allowing users to search, explore, and book with ease while staying true to the Villanesia brand.
The Project & Goals
Simplify the Booking Process: Create a seamless and intuitive mobile experience that makes it easier for users to find and book accommodations.
Improve User Retention: Maintain high booking retention rates by designing a user-friendly interface that encourages repeat usage.
Ensure Brand Consistency: Translate the Villanesia brand identity into the mobile app, maintaining familiarity for existing users while appealing to new ones
My Approach
I was responsible for the end-to-end design process, including user research, defining user needs, and delivering high-fidelity mockups. Given that Villanesia was initially only available as a desktop platform, the mobile app design focused on accessibility and ease of use. My goal was to ensure that users could seamlessly search, explore, and book their preferred accommodations directly from their mobile devices.

Challenges
One of the significant challenges in this project was the lack of clear briefs or a defined scope of work (SOW) during the early stages. This ambiguity led to multiple iterations as I worked to align the design style with user expectations and stakeholder feedback. Through collaboration and persistence, I successfully refined the design to meet both business and user goals.
