Empowering ethical giving through web3 technology, transparent, and rewarding donations that make a real impact.
The problem SDQ Charity solves
Despite the presence of numerous donation platforms in Indonesia, a prevalent issue remains the lack of transparency in financial reporting. As one of the world's largest markets for charity and donations, Indonesia plays a crucial role in global humanitarian efforts. However, donors are often left uncertain about the precise allocation and usage of their contributions. SDQ Charity seeks to address this problem by implementing blockchain technology (web3), which enables a transparent and verifiable tracking system for every transaction.

In addition to transparency, SDQ Charity offers donors special perks and exclusive access, rewarding them for their contributions. These perks are often provided by sponsors who seek to engage with socially-conscious individuals. Furthermore, donors receive certification in the form of NFT Soulbound tokens, which serve as a permanent record of their charitable contributions. These tokens can be used in the future to unlock special utilities or access within the broader SDQ Charity, Islmic Coin and HAQQ ecosystem, creating additional value for donors and further encouraging ongoing participation. This innovative model not only incentivizes donations but also strengthens the connection between donors and the causes they support.

My Approach
For SDQ Charity, I began by researching similar platforms to understand industry standards and identify opportunities for improvement. This competitor analysis helped me craft a user experience that stands out while meeting the expectations of crypto-savvy users.
Since the project is part of the HAQQ Network ecosystem, I aligned the design style with their branding, incorporating their signature colors and clean, modern aesthetics. This ensures consistency while giving SDQ Charity its own unique identity.

Throughout the project, my efforts were directed toward crafting a seamless, secure donation experience—one that empowers users to engage with confidence and ease.

Lesson Learned
Working on SDQ Charity marked my first experience designing for the Web3 space, which presented a unique set of challenges and learning opportunities. I quickly realized that designing for Web3 involves a different user behavior compared to traditional Web2 platforms. Users in the Web3 ecosystem expect more control over their actions, such as managing wallets and executing transactions, which requires a deeper focus on security, trust, and clarity.

One key lesson was understanding how critical it is to design interfaces that guide users through complex processes in an intuitive manner. For example, integrating cryptocurrency transactions requires clear messaging and simplified workflows to prevent confusion or errors.

Additionally, I learned the importance of continuous iteration and user testing. In the Web3 space, user expectations and behaviors can evolve rapidly, so constant feedback and adaptation are crucial to maintaining a smooth experience.
